Our client, a major bank, is seeking a head for their Financial Institution coverage group. Focused on both flow and event business the team drives trade banking revenue and originates funding opportunities from within the segment across Malaysia and Malaysian FI’s throughout the region.
Identify prospects and convert in line with Bank’s appetite.
Ensure quality of sales pitches.
Work with credit and product teams to shape deals and obtain clearance.
Effectively manage pipeline.
Manage and own senior client relationships
Engage senior internal stakeholders for marketing, credit and any other pertinent issues
Successfully negotiate and close out pricing and other deal dynamics with client
Oversee the quality & turnaround of proposals.
Liaising with Legal/external counsel in preparation and execution of complex transactions
Push for line utilization of complex and structured transactions.
Oversee the utilization of regular facilities.
Ensure discipline and quality in portfolio
Review and monitor the client profitability to ensure there are no revenue leakages.
Convene consortium meetings where we are the lead bank.
Overall responsible and accountable for the quality of the assigned/acquired portfolio.
Candidate should possess further or tertiary qualifications, preferably in a financial or similar discipline.
At least 10 years’ experience in Corporate or Investment banking in a relationship or management role.
Previous exposure to Financial Institutional banking
Good numerical, analytical and report writing abilities.
Conversant with lending practices, compliance and documentation procedures, local central bank guidelines and relevant statutory regulations.
Strong communicator with solid verbal and written abilities
