The Public Sector Lead drives sustained business performance and execution in public Sector within the Malaysia Subsidiary. One of the key responsibilities is to drive high level engagement and sales with government, educational, health and other publicly funded entities.
The Public Sector Lead Adds by providing the strategic direction and leadership for all aspects of Public Sector Business. The overall health of the business and the success of the strategies implemented by the Public Sector Lead are assessed through realization of the targeted business results ( revenue and scorecard) and targeted customer and partner satisfaction results.
The Public Sector Lead also participates in creating eth Microsoft Citizenship strategy definition and roll:out within the areas, and is accountable for Public Sector: specific Citizenship topics.
IN order to achieve these goals , the sales leader must develop and execute a country specific strategy based on national, regional and institutional priorities. The strategy should leverage resources provided by Microsoft both locally, regionally and internationally. The individual should be skilled in building and maintaining relationships with senior government, business and education officials. The candidate should have good collaboration, listening and learning skills. In addition the individual must be able to build credibility and have experience in selling solutions within the marketplace. The leader needs to ensure execution of the enterprise sales model and process and create mutually beneficial business opportunities with partners.
Candidates must have at least 10 years of practical experience in IT sales
Business Leader experience
Has experience in a subsidiary environment, leading or participating on a team of technical and non:technical individuals through successful sales cycles with customers.
Preferably, but not mandatory, understanding of the Public Sector ecosystem / Public Sector environment
Industry and technical marketing knowledge of hardware, systems
software, applications and peripherals
Strong business acumen: budgeting, revenue management
, business planning, organizational development, strategic thinking, etc.
Ability to be managed in/and be part of a matrixed environment; strong cross:group collaborator
Very strong interpersonal and influencing skills : Is comfortable in executive settings with senior levels within Microsoft and partner organizations; knows the challenges these executives are facing.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Fluent in English; local language required at the discretion of the GM
Is organizationally agile; can navigate a complex organization to reach a goal or objective; is effective at positioning gives/gets.
Is trustworthy and trusting; creates environments where individuals feel comfortable sharing issues.
